eMoney Advisor Names Susan McKenna New CEO

Financial planning software provider eMoney Advisor has named Susan McKenna as its new CEO, effective this week. McKenna, who joined eMoney in 2018 as head of marketing, has been serving as interim CEO since March 2022, when former CEO Ed O’Brien accepted a new position as head of technology at Fidelity Institutional.

O’Brien, who led the company for six years before taking the new position, is still on eMoney’s board.

“Her passion for our business, her many years of experience in the SaaS industry, her vision and great leadership qualities make her a perfect steward for eMoney as it continues to grow and evolve,” said Michael Wilens, member of FMR Board and president, enterprise services at Fidelity Investments, which acquired eMoney in 2015.

In 2020, eMoney expanded McKenna’s role to lead both marketing and business development and grow the company’s brand awareness. Her efforts have contributed to growing eMoney’s presence to reach 100,000 financial professionals and more than 5 million households.

In March, eMoney launched a white-labeled version of its advisor-connected financial wellness app Incentive. The rebrand-able version of Incentive is available to retirement plan advisors.
