How National Debt Relief Supports People on Their Debt Relief Journey

The best way to deal with debt is to pay it off. Sounds simple, right? But let’s face it – it may be one of the most difficult challenges you will ever face. It will also be one of the most rewarding if you come out on the other side debt free like Lindsay did. Here is how she went from hopeless to hopeful with a bright future ahead.

Lindsay was going through a divorce when she was laid off from her job at the same time. She turned to National Debt Relief for help after considering bankruptcy and quickly excluded trying to do it herself. According to Lindsay, “I was at the end of my rope, and I was looking for a solution. When I started researching the value and benefits of debt relief, I realized that was the path I should take.”

The right decision

Lindsay felt hopeful for the first time during the initial call with a National Debt Relief team member, feeling a sense of reassurance and support. “The woman [on the phone] was so warm, understanding, and solutions-oriented. I finally had an answer and I hung up feeling great. That really stuck with me and made me feel like this was the answer I needed.” Sheryl, a National Debt Relief Team Member, understands how difficult it may be for people to take the first step. “I always want to be empathetic and make sure that they feel comfortable with talking with me. I can definitely relate to my clients when they call in because I have also experienced financial hardship, so to put myself in their shoes is what really counts.”

Support every step of the way

The next step of the process was working with a debt coach to create an affordable plan Lindsay felt comfortable following. From the initial consultation, her team kept her engaged and updated throughout the process.

As Lindsay describes, “You have your intake person who makes you feel that everything is going to be okay. Then they keep in touch with you through the entire process. I was getting emails and text messages and phone calls saying we just negotiated 50% down from this credit card or 35% down from that credit card.”

Fourteen months later, Lindsay finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. “I graduated from National Debt Relief. This has been such a prideful moment to share with my girls that no matter how far you fall, you can always come back up.” Lindsay showed tremendous growth and confidence over the course of her journey. When she received a congratulatory note after graduating from the program, she felt a sense of accomplishment.

A feeling of accomplishment

“Listening to what happened with Lindsay – her beginning journey to where she is right now and what she has accomplished, there is this feeling of accomplishment on my side as well,” commends Joseph, a National Debt Relief team leader. Lindsay then acknowledged her team and immediately wanted to thank everyone who helped her along the way and saved her thousands of dollars. Her conclusion: “I couldn’t have done it without you.”

Like many people in debt, Lindsay’s life was turned upside down emotionally. As she says, “I was depressed.” But after she paid off her debt, it was a different story. “My children have noticed a huge change in me. The financial burden was weighing on me so much. It has changed who I am entirely now that I don’t have that weight on my shoulders.”

Meeting the team

We were excited to introduce Lindsay to some of the team members who were rooting for her success throughout her debt relief journey. There were lots of hugs and a few happy tears as Lindsay described her new life with a fiancé, a new car, and the prospect of a new home. Kathryn, who negotiated with Lindsay’s creditors, exclaimed “It’s a pretty big thing to know that her family was able to thrive as a result.”

Lindsay smiled ear to ear as she watched her video billboard in Times Square. “Seeing myself in Times Square has been the epitome of a working single mom success story,” she exclaimed.

Lindsay knew she didn’t have the resources or experience to pay off her debt on her own. But with a strong foundation and support from her team at National Debt Relief, she was able to become debt free. Her newfound confidence inspired her to plan the future she envisioned for herself and her family.

Let the team at National Debt Relief help you write your success story.
