Target Celebrates New Threshold Home Line with a Life-Size Dollhouse in Grand Central – The Budget Babe

For months now, we’ve been ogling Target’s new affordable home decor line called Threshold – you’ve seen the ads and you’ve probably shopped the collection in stores or online, too. Last night, Target officially celebrated the line’s launch by constructing a life-size dollhouse in Grand Central’s Vanderbilt hall in New York City and inviting members of the press to see the goods in person.

The rooms were decorated with a mix of current and upcoming styles, from the perfectly styled bookshelves in the living to the inviting kitchen and laid-back outdoor spaces. I could seriously move right in – even the paint colors were noteworthy. Celebs in attendance included interior designers Nate Berkus, Sabrina Soto and Design Star winner Danielle Colding. Umberto Beverly Hills and Sonia Kashuk provided free 10-minute hair and makeup touchups for guests.

I think we all agree that Target really hit the mark with Threshold. Instagram user kristinewithak_’s remarks on one of my photos from last night’s event seem to sum-up the overwhelmingly positive customer response: “[Threshold] has the best things! I could take home one of everything that they sell at Target.”

If you’re in NYC, swing by and check out The Dollhouse while it’s open to the public – or just browse the collection from the comfort of home at Target.com!
