PNG economist sceptical about UN report reveal of Papua New Guinea’s 17 million population

A new UN report reveals PNG’s population could be as high as 17 million. (ABC: Eric Tlozek)

A UN report is said to have found the population of Papua New Guinea may be almost double – at 17 million – the official figure.

It would dramatically change what is understood to be the living standards of PNG citizens.
